  • In the body you can bring out the significance of these elements – Information is fundamental need of humans to perform various tasks. It has been found that the ability to seek, receive and circulate information is crucial to secure human rights. An information-driven society leads to transparency and accountability. Then discuss the relevance of the two to good governance.      Move onto suggest measures for ensuring Information sharing and transparency in government. You can quote the existing efforts of the government in this direction(Name few policies and programme aiming in this dimension).

      First thing,this is a 10 marker question so try to finish it i 2 pages.
      Adhere to word limit.
      In the introduction,also mention what transparency is.You can write in simple language that transparency, in governance context, is honesty and openness.
      Quote some reports data if you can like you can quote the data of Transparency International.
      Then mention the pillars of good governance and explain the importance of transparency and accountability,
      In way forward,you have written very general points.Write some different points to get good marks.In this answer you can write repealing of the Official Secret Act as iterated by 2nd
      and introducing an oath of transparency for bureaucrats and politicians can help.
      Your conclusion is good.
      Work hard ,you will improve.

      In introduction briefly mention what transparency and accountability are.
      You have written the significance part in a decent manner.
      But there is lack of content in the way forward,add few more points like we can use social audit and e-governance as a tool to strengthen good governance,there is a need to set up regional offices to reduce the geographical reach issues etc.

      Explain the significance of transparency and information sharing
      Mentioning means of information sharing is not so important.
      Need to add diverse points in measures, you can read Dakshina’s answer for this part.
      Underline important stuff and if quote some report’s data if possible. You can quote the data of transparency international report to get better marks.

      Good introduction.
      Lack of content in significance part,you can write like there are four pillars of good governance – transparency, accountability predictability and participation. Without transparency other pillars become dysfunctional.
      Diversify your answer to get good marks.
      There are some good points in measures but need to add more. You can add like need of strict implementation of all mandatory disclosures under Right to Information act 2005, social audit,digitization of key government records etc.

      Use of flow chart is appreciable but mention the significance of transparency also.
      Do not use short forms like info , govt etc.
      Some good points but need to add content like need of introducing an oath of transparency for bureaucrats and politicians,we can use of multi-media campaigns in local languages for awareness of benefits of information sharing,need of digitization of key government records etc.
