In intro, after first line you can mention briefly the function of ethics officers- serves as an organization’s internal control point for ethics and improprieties, allegations, complainta etc.
Content of the body is good. Good number of examples have been mentioned.
Further you can talk about role in whistleblower protection and promoting ethical work culture. Looking after issues like child labour, employee welfare(hire and fire policies) can also be mentioned.
Conclusion part is fine.
Still, Overall good answer.

In intro, instead of defining ethics you can mention briefly the function of ethics officers- serves as an organization’s internal control point for ethics and improprieties, allegations, complaints etc.
Content is decent, try to include examples where ethics officer would have been useful like Satyam Scam, Vodafone, usefulness in handling environmental issues- Vedanta etc
Further you can add points like role in protection of whistleblowers, strengthening faith of shareholders, handling ethical issues like child labour, policy of hire and fire(labour welfare).
Way forward is fine. In conclusion, you have overplayed the role of an ethics officer a bit, corporate governance is a broad term and ethics officer is one cog of the wheel.

In role you can further mention protection of whistleblowers, strengthening faith of shareholders, handling ethical issues like child labour, labour welfare, environmental issues like air pollution, chemical discharge in water bodies etc
Other points mentioned are good.
Conclusion is decent, you can highlight the absence of ethics officers even in value-based companies such as Tata Steel and the need to appoint one.
