  • In the intro, mention that the pandemic has underscored the fragility of human life and the deeply interconnected fate of humanity.
  • In the body, mention the policy response of the government to crises be it a global financial crisis or the pandemic in which cheap liquidity protects the asset-owning class while subsequent austerity measures of the government hit the poor hard. This highlights that the corporates need to shoulder the responsibility. Mention the CSR introduced by India in this regard. Next, mention that the corporates need to factor in sustainability and climate change along with their profit motive and change the practices accordingly. Also, mention that the investors are also rewarding the progressive actions towards the environment.
  • Conclude by mentioning that the world is weathering a storm, capitalism could survive by choosing its own pathway.

Decent attempt. First part of the answer is good, you can also mention how cheap liquidity in times of crisis forces governments to go for austere fiscal measures later which affects the poor.

2nd part about approach that corporates need to follow is missing, you can mention about :
ESG parameters that need to be focused on- Environment Empathy, Social Responsibility and corporate governance
Investors are looking to reduce the carbon footprints of their investments
Progressive actions being rewarded, absence of such progressive actions being penalised Promoters need to come forward to pledge more of their wealth towards philanthropy
Specific action needs to be taken to build resilience in business strategies

Also, while writing about big tech companies, mention the need for them to contribute towards sustainable development since they wield so much power.

      Conclusion is fine.

      Keep writing. 🙂

Nice attempt. Introduction is good, points about covid impact are fine too, corporate profits continue to imply is a blanket statement, there have been losses too, you can frame it better by mentioning big tech companies, which are in profit as well as wield a lot of power.

In approach you need to write about what changes corporates themselves need to bring, not about what government needs to do, so you can avoid points like increasing tax and imposing limits on donations etc. Rest of the points are fine. you can mention about :
ESG parameters that need to be focused on- Environment Empathy, Social Responsibility and corporate governance
Investors are looking to reduce the carbon footprints of their investments
Promoters need to come forward to pledge more of their wealth towards philanthropy

      Conclusion is fine.

Introduction first para is fine. After that mention what approach usually governments take to come out of crises and why this approach needs to change now. Cheap liquidity protects the asset-owning class while subsequent austerity measures of the government hit the poor hard. It creates inequality in outcomes and hence corporates need to shoulder more responsibility.

Also try to write with more nuance like avoid making blanket statements like ‘they do not care about environment etc.’ Answer should be more solution-oriented than blaming somebody or the other. Approaches mentioned are fine, you can add some of these:
ESG parameters that need to be focused on- Environment Empathy, Social Responsibility and corporate governance
Investors are looking to reduce the carbon footprints of their investments
Progressive actions being rewarded, absence of such progressive actions being penalised Promoters need to come forward to pledge more of their wealth towards philanthropy
Specific action needs to be taken to build resilience in business strategies

      Conclusion is fine.

Nice answer. Introduction is good. After that mention what approach usually governments take to come out of crises and why this approach needs to change now. Cheap liquidity protects the asset-owning class, they bounce back quickly while subsequent austerity measures of the government hit the poor hard. It creates inequality in outcomes (insert Oxfam data).

Rest of the points are good, should be enough. You can use some keywords like-
ESG parameters that need to be focused on- Environment Empathy, Social Responsibility and corporate governance. Also can mention that specific action needs to be taken to build resilience in business strategies

      Conclusion is fine.

      Keep writing consistently.

Fine answer, introduction is good, government approach till now and need for corporates to step up has also been well articulated.

You can add some points in approach that corporates need to follow-
ESG parameters that need to be focused on- Environment Empathy, Social Responsibility and corporate governance
Investors are looking to reduce the carbon footprints of their investments.
Progressive actions being rewarded, absence of such progressive actions being penalised Promoters need to come forward to pledge more of their wealth towards philanthropy

Also, while writing about big tech companies, mention the need for them to contribute towards sustainable development since they wield so much power.

      Conclusion is fine.

Good attempt, introduction, government’s approach till now and conclusion- all are good. You have also mentioned how consumers are looking for sustainable products with example – that is fine too. You can also mention that investors are also looking to reduce the carbon footprints of their investments. Progressive actions by companies are being rewarded, absence of such progressive actions are being penalised.

Also mention some points in approach that corporates need to follow-
ESG parameters that need to be focused on- Environment Empathy, Social Responsibility and corporate governance
Promoters need to come forward to pledge more of their wealth towards philanthropy
Specific action needs to be taken to build resilience in business strategies

      Conclusion is good.

Question is in the context of Covid 19, mention some of its devastating economic effects- rising inequality, growing poverty etc in introduction.
After that mention what approach usually governments take to come out of crises and why this approach needs to change now. Cheap liquidity protects the asset-owning class, they bounce back quickly while subsequent austerity measures of the government hit the poor hard. It creates inequality in outcomes (insert Oxfam data). Also highlights that the corporates need to shoulder the responsibility.

Points in approach needed are good, also you can write about how investors are looking to reduce the carbon footprints of their investments and hence, progressive actions of companies are being rewarded, absence of such progressive actions are being penalise. Aslo, promoters need to come forward to pledge more of their wealth towards philanthropy.

      Conclusion is fine.

Good attempt, structure of the answer is good though you can make the part about how government deals more concise.

In approach needed you can use some keywords like – ESG parameters that need to be focused on- Environment Empathy, Social Responsibility and corporate governance, stakeholder capitalism. Also, you can mention that promoters need to come forward to pledge more of their wealth towards philanthropy and specific action needs to be taken to build resilience in business strategies.

      Conclusion is fine.

Overall you have written well. Keep writing consistently.
