      Now coming to the answer, I don’t think you understood the question properly- it is not just about India’s tilt to west, it talks about the emergence of a MORE BROAD global democratic coalition covering many countries other than the west. Mention why has this happened- China factor is one of the reasons, you have explained that but kept on repeating, some other factors are- global financial crisis, pandemic, security concerns in places like Indo-pacific, perceived decline of America etc

      Next you have written the examples like Quad etc. That is good.

      After that, write about more issues on which India can increase cooperation- Cooperation and reforming the global economic order, pushing for permanent membership in UNSC,NSG, mitigating climate change, promoting greener growth, cooperation in initiatives like ISA and CDRI making the world immune to future pandemics, and constructing trusted supply chains etc
      This part you have missed.

      You are writing well but don’t just limit yourself to the article mentioned in the question. Try to explore other dimensions also.

      You have attempted well but I think you need to understand the core demands of the question and structure your answer accordingly.

      In first part you need to justify the statement given that a democratic coalition covering many countries other than the west is emerging in recent years. Mention why has this happened. Reasons could be- global financial crisis, rise of China, pandemic, security concerns in places like Indo-pacific, perceived decline of America etc Then give examples which you have given like Quad, JAI, trilateral partnerships etc. Brexit and NAFTA are not very relevant, so you can avoid them.

      In the 2nd part mention how has these partnerships helped India, India can now partner these countries — on reforming the global economic order, mitigating climate change, promoting greener growth, making the world immune to future pandemics, and constructing trusted supply chains etc

      Next in 1-2 points write how this has become the new normal due to rising China(here you can put India-China issues). Keep this part brief.

      Finally conclude by saying we need to increase our partnerships based on 3Cs with other countries keeping in mind our national interests.

      Don’t write everything you know, try to understand what exactly the question is asking, in IR you will always have points, so that is not much of a worry.

      I think you didn’t understand the question properly, it is saying that democratic coalition has become MORE BROAD than just west, that is it now includes other countries like nations from ASEAN, South Africa, South Korea, Japan, Australia etc You have just written about west.

      You need to give reasons why this democratic coalition is increasing.Reasons could be- global financial crisis, rise of China, pandemic, security concerns in places like Indo-pacific, perceived decline of America etc Then give examples like Quad, JAI, trilateral partnerships etc.

      In the 2nd part you have to write how this increasing coalition has helped India. We can now co-operate on more global topics such as reforming the global economic order, mitigating climate change, promoting greener growth, making the world immune to future pandemics, and constructing trusted supply chains etc

      Next very briefly write how this has been boosted by hostile Indo-China relations and then conclude.

      In such questions read the questions very carefully, break it into parts, identify what is the question asking in each part by underlining keyword, then proceed to write accordingly. Otherwise, you will give a very broad generic answer which is not sufficient.

Reasons are good, but I think you should write from the perspective of India rather than west, in that case you can add points like global financial crisis, perceived failure of US, pandemic etc also as reasons for increasing global democratic coalitions.

      Second part is good, you can mention briefly that how these partnerships involving India have been bolstered by hostility in Indo-China relations.

      Your answer is good, most importantly you have understood the question well and answered accordingly. In the first part about democratic coalitions, give some examples to substantiate your point. Example- Quad, JAI trilateral etc
      Also, reasons for this shift you have mentioned are good, include geopolitical angle also that is rise of China, assertive Russia, emerging trade wars etc
      You can include the hostility between India and China too as one of the reasons why it is necessary for us.

      Rest of the points are good. In the 2nd part you can also include environment and climate change as it is one of the important issues on which multilateral cooperation is needed.

      I think you have attempted well but your answer is skewed towards Indo-China relations.

      Talk more about India’s emerging partnerships with other democratic countries and what opportunities do they offer. Give more examples, like FTA with such countries, India-EU cooperation etc
      Opportunities-Cooperation n reforming the global economic order, mitigating climate change, promoting greener growth, making the world immune to future pandemics, and constructing trusted supply chains etc

      Also no need to mention BRICS and RIC here, they are important in their own domain, both give India and China a platform to cooperate and leaders do take part in their summits, so you can’t say totally ineffective.

      Russia is not very interested in being a part of global democratic coalitions, so avoid naming it. You can add some ASEAN countries. Also give examples of such coalitions such as Quad, Japan India Australia trilateral, D10 etc
