      You have written in quite detail about political instability and collapse but that is not the crux of the question. You need to show how India failed to make progress economically, culturally and socially..
      Introduction is fine. Next write 1-2 lines about political rivalries and invasions, then move forward.
      In lack of social progress you can talk about – Feudal social relations- still entrenched in feudalistic and exploitative social relations as during the Mughal rule; Social inequality ; Rigid caste system; Subjugation of women etc
      In cultural domain, you can talk about- Cultural stagnation- unaware of the West’s scientific and
      cultural temper with the rise of renaissance; Lack of scientific education: Traditional education was not updated etc
      Regarding lack of economic progress, ruralisation and stagnant agriculture as mentioned by you are good. You can also talk about the decline in internal and foreign trade; decline of the cities etc
      Conclusion is fine.
