Q.1 Start-ups can act as an agent of change by solving issues faced by the Indian society. Discuss. (10 Marks)

Mentor’s Comments:

Start by giving context regarding the emergence of start up culture in India.

Write about how start-ups can start solving problems faced by the Indian society- poverty, higher productivity regions, urbanisation, financial inclusion, supply chains, distribution logistics, employability, retail, transport, media, healthcare and agriculture etc. Give examples to substantiate your points.

Conclude by writing a way forward to promote start-ups as agents of change.

Your content is good, but presentation can be improved.
Try to write some parts of the answer in points. It will increase visibility and examiner will be able to locate what he/she is looking for easily.
Introduction is a bit lengthy, you can simply start by defining start-ups(less than 10 years, turnover less than 100 crores) or mention some fact such as emergence of India as 3rd largest start-up ecosystem.
Points in the body are good, you can also add points about role of start-ups in financial inclusion (role of fintech start-ups), agriculture (importance in solving supply chain issues, last mile connectivity). Women safety dimension can also be added. Points regarding healthcare, education, transportation etc are good. Conclusion is fine.
Try to make the answer multi-dimensional.
      Keep practicing. 🙂

      Decent attempt.
Intro is good, you can briefly define start-ups too (less than 10 years, turnover less than 100 crores).
In the body, points are fine, however in some points you have just mentioned examples- briefly mention how they can help(that is the core demand of the question).. For example, in case of fintech start-ups you can talk about financial inclusion, literacy etc, in employment you can mention their importance in connecting employers- employees. Points regarding healthcare, agriculture etc can be mentioned too to include more dimensions.
Conclusion is fine, before that you can mention 1-2 lines about role of government in boosting start-ups and some important schemes.
      Keep practicing. 🙂

In intro, try to use definitions, facts or link it with some current affairs. That will create better impact. Here, you can simply define start-ups(less than 10 years, turnover less than 100 crores) or mention the emergence of India as 3rd largest start-up ecosystem.
In the body, points are fine but many of them are economic impacts. You need to mention social impacts such as role in providing healthcare(availability of doctors, medicines etc); education, agriculture (solving supply chain issues, last mile connectivity), financial inclusion and literacy(fintech start-ups), women safety, transportation, can act as a platform for reducing unemployment by connecting employees with employers etc. Try to make your answer multi-dimensional.
Issues can be written by making a diagram(flowchart).. Not exclusively asked. Conclusion is fine.
      Keep practicing. 🙂

Good attempt. Introduction is good, additionally you can provide a simple definition of start-ups(less than 10 years, turnover less than 100 crores).
Content in the body of the answer is good. However, some important dimensions such as healthcare, education etc are missing. Try to incorporate them.
Challenges and conclusion part is good.
      Keep practicing. 🙂
