      Good attempt. Your knowledge of the topic is good.
      However, you have included arguments and counter-arguments in same point, you can divide it into two sections- first, why did India abstain(reasons in favour) and next critical analysis (can put the counter-arguments here).
      Points mentioned by you are good.
      Historical angle of Indo-Russia friendship can be included. (1956 example, support to India during 1971 war).
      National interest vs principles comparison is good, in the end provide a conclusion ( currently India stands with China-Russia on the issue which hampers its image as the largest democracy).
