  • In the intro, mention that in the 2019 Lok Sabha elections, women’s participation exceeded that of men for the first time.
  • In the body mention the growing women’s participation and representation in India. Mention that women currently make up 14.6 per cent of MPs in the Lok Sabha, which is a historic high. In the implications mention that the growing turnout of women voters could influence political parties’ programmatic priorities and improve their responsiveness to women voters’ interests, preferences, and concerns, including sexual harassment and gender-based violence.
  • Conclude by mentioning the need for passing the Women’s Reservation Bill.

      Decent attempt.
      Introduction is good.
Trends in political representation part is also fine, you have mentioned some good examples.
However, you can also talk about 73rd and 74th amendment and reservation provided to women in local bodies.
Implications are good. Some specific women-related issues that can get influenced like gender violence and sexual harassment can be mentioned.
Also mention some challenges, which we still face as a country- low representation in state assemblies, issue of sarpanch patis, fewer number of tickets to woman candidates etc
      Conclusion is fine.
      Keep practicing. 🙂

Introduction is fine. However, if you can use examples from India it will be better as the question is in India’s context.
Trends can be explained better, first mention positive trends- you can use graph to show increasing representation in LS, reservation in local bodies etc. Other positive points like ministerial positions are good.
Challenges can be mentioned at one place-low ranking, low representation in state assemblies, sarpanch pati etc
Implications are also fine, you can also talk about increasing turnout of women voters influencing political parties’ programmes towards women-centric issues etc
      Conclusion is fine.
Overall content is fine but organization and presentation of the answer can be better.
      Keep practicing. 🙂
